“I see myself looking huge and bad in the mirror and in photos. Every day I feel like I have more insecurities.”

This sentence hurts because it’s real.Because it repeats silently in the minds of women who smile for the camera, then delete the photo.Because what we see sometimes isn’t our body — it’s the harsh lens we’ve learned to use.

We weren’t born with insecurities. We were taught them. Repeatedly. And now, every time we change outfits in front of a mirror, that voice returns.

Seeing yourself as “voluminous” isn’t the problem. The problem is what that makes you feel —as if taking up space is a mistake, as if softness is something to fix.

If you looked at yourself today with judgment, you’re not alone. But hear this: your body is not the enemy. It’s your home. And even if you don’t know how to love it yet, you don’t need to keep fighting it.
